VELD Intel is built around independent, hands-on advisors. The work is done by the named individual on the project, not delegated to juniors. As we grow, this page will introduce the people who do the thinking.
I started VELD Intel because most energy advisory in Africa is either too generic to be useful, or too conflicted to be trusted. Consultants who sell equipment can't give you an independent view. Big firms give you a team of juniors and a partner's signature.
I do the work myself. That means the analysis is faster, the accountability is direct, and the assumptions are mine to defend.
My background is mechanical engineering (University of Pretoria, first class, top 10 thesis). I've spent 18 years working across gas-to-power development, hybrid energy system design, techno-economic modelling, and project development. From 5MW CHP feasibility studies to 600MW CCGT supply chain logistics modelling with a gas contract value of $240M to $375M per year.
I work across the full project lifecycle: concept, feasibility, bankable business case, technical assurance, and decision support. I coordinate across engineering, commercial, finance, legal, regulatory, and environmental workstreams, and translate between all of them.
VELD Intel is selectively building a small bench of independent advisors with deep technical credibility. If that sounds like you, get in touch.
